Venus Williams Set to Play Wednesday Afternoon
It was 12 years ago that Venus Williams captured the Volvo Car Open, and Wednesday she makes an eighth appearance in Charleston, her first since 2014.

Williams will play in the Wednesday afternoon session. Tickets are still available.
The American has been ranked No. 1 in the world and has seven Grand Slam singles titles. In Charleston she’ll go after her 50th career trophy as the No. 3 seed here.
“I’ve had a lot of great memories here,” Venus told reporters on Monday. “I love taking advantage of playing at home, in the U.S. It’s a good feeling.”
