Tournament Policies

A ticketholder’s entry into the Credit One Charleston Open constitutes the ticketholder’s consent for the operator and organizers of the tournament and their designees to record the name, image, likeness, and/or voice of the ticketholder (including by photograph, film, and video tape recording) and to publish and otherwise use such recordings for any purpose whatsoever without compensation of any kind to the ticketholder.

Lost and Found is located at the Box Office. The Credit One Charleston Open, its owner and the owner’s affiliates, agents and employees are not responsible for lost or stolen articles.

A credential is a revocable license that allows its holder access to the Credit One Charleston Open. Lost, stolen, or damaged credentials are not the responsibility of Charleston Tennis and will not be replaced. By utilizing a credential or entering onto the grounds of the Credit One Charleston Open, the credential holder voluntarily assumes all risk and danger incidental to the game of tennis, whether occurring prior to, during, or subsequent to the tournament, and  releases Charleston Tennis, LLC and the WTA Tour, Inc. and their respective affiliated entities, the City of Charleston, tournament broadcasters, sponsors, vendors, volunteers, players and all agents thereof from any liabilities arising out of the holder’s access.

For the comfort and safety of patrons, players and performers, the following items are NOT permitted at the Credit One Charleston Open without the express authorization of Charleston Tennis LLC.:

• Unauthorized promotional, commercial, political, religious or offensive items of whatever nature including clothing, banners, signs, symbols, leaflets, stickers or flyers
• Backpacks (multi-compartment bag with multiple shoulder straps), bags larger than 12” x 12” x 6” (30cm x 46cm x 38cm). Any bag left at a gate is left at the owner’s risk. Tournament assumes no responsibility for left bags
• Selfie Sticks, Drones (any mechanical object in motion or in flight)
• Firearms or Weapons of any kind, (regardless of permit), any item which may be interpreted as a potential weapon and/or compromise public safety, including sharp or pointed objects (e.g. knives, large corkscrews), ‘personal protection’ sprays and fireworks/flares
• Hoverboards, Skateboards, Segways or any motorized vehicle not associated with a medical need
• Reusable Water Bottles, Metal bottles/cups, Cans, Coolers, Ice Chests, Thermoses or Picnic Baskets
• Food, except in a limited quantity for medical or infant purposes
• Alcoholic Beverages, Illegal Substances
• Flags or banners, posters larger than 18” x 18” (46cm x 46cm);
• Personal camera, video camera or recording devices (unless with Media Credential)
• Laptops or tablets
• Aerosol cans
• Noise making devices
• Laser pointing devises
• Folding chairs or seat cushions
• Animals (Except service animals)
• Any objects or clothing bearing political statements or commercial identification intended for ‘ambush marketing’
• Any other items deemed unlawful or dangerous by the Tournament management

Visitors in possession of prohibited items may be refused entry or ejected from the Grounds.

Approved bags are depicted below. All other bags and backpacks are prohibited

The following policy applies to individual session tickets purchased directly (and not via ticket auction, exchange, resale, or other secondary ticket outlet) through Ticketmaster, CreditOneCharlestonOpen.com or in person at the Box Office located at the main entrance.

Please note that this policy does not apply to weeklong subscriptions, Mini Packages (Intro, Finale and Champs), or any tickets issued on a Complimentary or Trade basis.

There will be NO REFUNDS OR CREDITS. If a Stadium Court match is completed OR 90 total minutes of play has taken place on Stadium Court during any one session, no exchanges or refunds will be made*. If a session is canceled without the completion of one full match on the Stadium Court OR 90 total minutes of play on the Stadium Court is not met, Tournament management will make every effort to reasonably accommodate the individual session ticket holder on a subsequent session, if held. The Credit One Charleston Open cannot guarantee ticket availability, exchange of equal value or comparable seat location.

In addition, patrons are advised that the Credit One Charleston Open schedule of play is subject to change for all sessions. Tickets are not eligible for refund or exchange due to one or more changes in the schedule of play. Please note: information on scheduling changes can be obtained by visiting our website’s homepage or via the Credit One Stadium app.

We have a variety of choices for your dining pleasure. Apart from one unopened single use plastic bottle of water no larger than 20 oz. per person, no food or beverage will be admitted into the event. Water stations are available on the concourse.

Reusable plastic or metal water bottles are allowed on site as long as the container is empty when entering the grounds. Single use plastic water bottles are permitted if they are seal and remain unopened. Glass bottles are strictly prohibited.

NO GLASS bottles or containers are allowed to be brought onto the property.

No alcohol may be brought onto the property.

No weapons may be brought onto the property.

No illegal substance(s) may be brought onto the property.

Prohibited items that are discovered during inspections must either be returned to their owner’s vehicle/transportation or discarded. The Credit One Charleston Open will not provide a storage area for these items. Guests arriving by public transportation must take particular caution not to bring any prohibited items as no exceptions will be made.

Bike racks are located near the front gate at the entrance to the stadium. The tournament is not responsible for damage or theft.

No flash photography is allowed. Cameras are prohibited for any purpose other than using photographs for personal and private domestic use. Such photographs cannot be exploited or displayed in any manner or in any medium whatsoever without the express written
consent of the WTA. This applies to personal camera, video camera or recording devices (unless with Media Credential) larger than 4” x 14” x 8” (10cm x 35cm x 20cm).

Removable or detachable camera lenses are prohibited.

Camcorders are allowed as long as the equipment is not a hindrance to surrounding spectators. Film may not be reproduced. Camcorders and cameras are prohibited for any purpose other than recording of footage or photographs for personal and private domestic
use only. Such footage or photographs cannot be exploited or displayed in any manner or in any medium whatsoever without the express written consent from the WTA.

No laptops or tablets may be brought onto the property.

Cell phones ARE NOT allowed to be used near matches in progress. Please turn off all cell phones when entering courts and the stadium to watch matches.

We will have a Box Office on-site during the tournament and will be able to process sales. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover. We are a cashless facility.

Children two years of age and younger do not require a ticket to enter the facility as long as they can sit on your lap. Children 16 and under are admitted free with a grounds pass, with the purchase of an adult ticket.

There are no refunds or exchanges. All sales are final.

Children 2 years and younger are permitted on-site without a ticket. The child must be able to sit on the parent’s lap the entire time.

Juniors (16 and under) can receive free general admission tickets all week with an accompanying adult. All free general admission junior tickets can be obtained at the box office on-site on the day of attendance.

Patrons who would like to leave and return will need to have their ticket exit scanned upon departure and present their ticket when they re-enter.

Credit One Stadium is ADA Accessible. Each is ADA seat is pre-assigned and must be selected at the time of purchase.  Access ramps are located on the north and east sides of the stadium.

Handicap parking is available by presenting your state-issued license plate or hangtag to parking attendants when you arrive on Daniel Island. Parking attendants will direct you.

On occasion, threatening weather may force us to clear the Grandstand seating in the stadium. We ask for your prompt cooperation should you hear an announcement pertaining to threatening weather.

Please keep in mind that match times are subject to change due to weather, television coverage, or other delays. Our match schedule is posted in the Order of Play tab the evening before a day session.

Golf carts are allowed but are subject to all parking regulations and parking passes. The tournament is not responsible for damage or theft.

Please bring lost children to Guest Services. If you’re looking for a lost child, please go to Guest Services.

Pets are not allowed, with the exception for service animals.

First aid is located outside of Play Court 3.

The Credit One Charleston Open is hosted on a non-smoking facility.

Umbrellas may be used on the grounds, but not within the stadium or any match court where it can be a hindrance to other spectators.

Stadium upper sections:

• • • Free movement at any time (no change to the current rule) –the delineation between the lower and upper sections shall be mutually agreed between the tournament and the WTA Supervisor
• Stadium lower sections, or stands on non-Stadium courts:
  • • Seating areas on the side of the court (West and East sides): allow fans to enter after each game, including after the 1st game of a set and before a tie-break (at 6-all). Seating areas behind the baselines (North and South ends): allow fans to enter only at changeovers or set breaks (no change to the current policy)
