To our loyal tennis fans,

I hope this letter finds you in great spirits this holiday season. I am honored to share with you that the Credit One Charleston Open has once again been named the WTA 500 Tournament of the Year, marking four consecutive years receiving this prestigious recognition. This honor is awarded by the WTA and voted on by the players, who reward a tournament based on the excellence of its staff and organization, passionate fan support and a broader dedication to the sport and its athletes. 

This continued recognition reflects our unwavering commitment to maintaining and exceeding the high standards that our incredible owners, Ben and Kelly Navarro, set for the tournament year after year. Our recent tournaments have been truly special, highlighted by record-breaking attendance, innovation in fan experiences and meaningful progress in advancing the sport, including our commitment to offering equal prize money in 2026. 

Together, these endeavors continue to position the Credit One Charleston Open as a world-class tournament and a leader in women’s tennis, and the success is shared with the many people who make the event possible. 

This recognition belongs to the entire Credit One Charleston Open community, including the world-class athletes whose talent and competitiveness define our tournament, you – our fan – whose energy fills the stands, our corporate partners whose support brings the event to life, our volunteers whose dedication powers the tournament behind the scenes, and our exceptional staff whose year-round commitment and attention to detail ensure a world-class experience at every level.
