A Letter to Our Fans

Dear Loyal Fans,

I hope this letter finds you in great spirits this holiday season. I am honored to share that the Credit One Charleston Open has been named the WTA 500 Tournament of the Year for a second consecutive season. The recognition comes from the WTA and is voted upon by the players who reward a tournament based on the excellence of its staff and organization, their passionate fans and the event’s wider dedication to the sport and its athletes.

This award is an acknowledgment of our unwavering commitment to maintaining and exceeding the high standards that our incredible owners, Ben and Kelly Navarro, set for the tournament year after year. Our 2022 and 2023 events have been extraordinary, highlighted by the unveiling of our renovated stadium, record-breaking tournament attendance and new, innovative fan activations.

Yet, this accolade is not just ours alone – it is shared with you and all who help make our tournament a success and an amazing experience.

We dedicate this honor to our players, who compete fiercely and deliver endless entertainment for our spectators; to our fans, who give tennis a heart and soul with their passion for the game; to our corporate partners, who provide generous support that helps bring our event to life; to our team of volunteers, who are behind-the-scenes and are the unsung heroes of the tournament; and to our diligent staff, who work relentlessly year round, paying attention to every detail to carry out a world-class event.

We take great pride in this award as a testament to our collective hard work, teamwork and love of the game. Thank you for your continued support and contribution in making the Credit One Charleston Open an unforgettable tournament.
