McNally, Krawczyk Back in Charleston Winner’s Circle
AMERICAN DUO DOWNS BONDAR/FRECH AT LTP DANIEL ISLAND
They had each raised the doubles trophy here before. Caty McNally with Hailey Baptiste in 2021; Desirae Krawczyk with Danielle Collins in 2023.
But on Easter Sunday at the 2026 Credit One Charleston Open, Americans McNally and Krawczyk got their first title together on the green clay of LTP Daniel Island when they defeated Hungary’s Anna Bondar and Poland’s Magdalena Frech, 6-3, 6-2.
“We grew a lot each match. We learned each other’s game styles and figured out what worked well together,” said McNally. “Each match, we just got so much better and were able to assert ourselves and, honestly, just have a lot of fun. I think that was the most important thing: We just really enjoyed playing together.”
It was a last-minute pairing.
“My original partner ended up pulling out, so I needed to re-pair. I was kind of scrambling to find anyone,” said Krawczyk, who was appearing in the final for the second year in a row, having finished as a runner-up alongside Caroline Dolehide in 2025. “I texted Caty, and here we are.”
McNally nearly wasn’t available given her commitment to the U.S. team for the Billie Jean King Cup.

Down an early break in the opener, McNally/Krawczyk would bring the set back on serve at 3-all and never look back.
“We were down 0-2 and 1-3. We were trying to figure out what they do well, what we do well,” added the part-time podcaster Krawczyk, host of the “The Player’s Box” along with countrywomen Jessica Pegula, Madison Keys and Jennifer Brady. “We just had to kind of stick to our game plan and be brave, to set the tone for the match. They’re both great singles players. We really just took charge and played to our strengths, and that’s what got us the win.”
Like McNally and Krawczyk, Bondar and Frech were an eleventh-hour pairing, having last played together in Charleston four years ago. As fate would have it, they also faced each other in the singles draw, with Bondar claiming a 7-5, 6-3 victory over the 11th-seeded Pole in Round 2.
